We weren’t sure what to expect with the new year and the starting again of our After School Program, but on Wednesday, January 15 at about 3:15 the first kids began to arrive. They seemed excited to be coming back to Antioch UMC for this fun, nurturing, safe and loving place to play, share a healthy after-school snack, hang out with friends and adults who love them and help them continue to learn their ABC’s through tutoring!
It did my heart good to see these wonderful friends, both the children and the adults who serve in this very important ministry. We had a fabulous first Wednesday back with 23 kids and we’re excited about what this semester holds for these children and those of us privileged to share with them.
